The Home Lab
I’ve worked in the IT industry around hardware for more than two decades and have, shall we say, an affinity for servers, switches, PDUs, UPSes, etc. as a result. This has necessitated the need for a home lab where I can put all of these things. I use this gear to host my own private cloud services, as well as experiment with new technologies that contribute to life long learning and new job skills. Thankfully I’m not alone in this obsession, and there are various communities including reddit r/homelab and ServeTheHome that provide ongoing inspiration and comradery.
So what’s cooking in the lab these days? Quite a lot actually!
